Hello, my name is Silvia and I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. I began my journey in the residential and commercial cleaning industry 14 years ago. In 2007, my daughter Cebrina Jo Tellez started helping me clean the office at Schooner Petroleum where I was the Office Manager. She began with minor cleaning of the office for us. Soon after we obtained our second client, Evergreen Tanks. In the beginning, it was just my girls Savannah and Cebrina and I. Later that year, we gained around 12 clients that we were cleaning for. We were still new to the cleaning business but enjoyed providing cleaning services month to month.


In February 2007, we obtained our business name CJ’s Cleaning Service (DBA). I named our business after Cebrina Jo Tellez. I am where I am now because of her.


On December 6, 2007, my daughter passed away in a car accident. My business was put on hold and I lost my clients. My clients understood losing a child is never easy and that I had to take care of my family first, and when I was ready I would come back.


In 2010, two years later, I decided to come back to cleaning. Losing a child wasn’t easy, it took some time to pick up. When I was ready, I made phone calls and was ready for business again. I was able to get most of my previous clients back. I plan on continuing this business for myself and my family in her memory. Cebrina Jo Tellez is the reason I’m still in business, and I love what I do.
